Maybe it’s the change of season or maybe it’s the abundance of natural light streaming through my small home but I am all about gold, white and bright this spring.  I created a new digital snapshot of 9 items that I am completely loving these days, in particular green (don’t you love those malachite boxes?!)

Happy Fall, small space dwellers! I hope you are enjoying this fab time of the year. Cooler weather and pretty sunlight, it’s one of my favorite times – early fall. I wanted to roundup some of my fave fall finds this season. I am – still – completely into gold, gilded, metallic decor and think it’s a great addition to a spaces. Even the slight reflection on a small decor piece adds a bit of dimension in a small space. Hey, we’ll take what we can get, right?

After a little travel and a small move (to our 1st single family home), my husband and I are staying put this summer….and fall…and winter…and spring. Of course I am virtually window shopping all over the place and was inspired by good ‘ole summer for this digital snapshot.

Looks like I am loving bright colors – pinks, blues, purples – these days. I am also into furniture with legs (a best small space tip) as well as clean, crisp white/neutral pieces, like the awesome Lancer sofa. And of course I am still dreaming of my honeymoon and am seriously considering a monthly macaroon delivery to my home. Cheers to summer!

Only a few more weeks until daylight savings and tons of evening sunshine to soak up. Even though we’ve had a super mild winter on the east coast, I am excited about embracing my spring fever. It’s been a pretty fantastic summer with lots of fun travels and exciting life stuff. One of my most special moments was getting engaged in June to my longtime love – my oh my! I am super happy about marrying this cute guy. :)  
Now I have to admit, while I love design, writing about design, window shopping design, taking photos of design, I really have never “designed” my ideal wedding.The only wedding thing I have ever really bookmarked was when I tore out a wedding ring from a magazine years ago because I thought it was so pretty. (And guess what, that’s the ring my sweet guy got for me! Seriously, it was a total surprise and I still can’t believe it!!) So now I am looking at planning my own wedding and I think I am getting into it now. I approached the planning the same way I love with a small space – what do I *love* about it? How do I want to *feel*?
My fiance and I are having our wedding in the late Fall and we are inspired by the season and harvest tones – merigold, pumpkin, saffron, ivy. Of course we do love deep grays and gold tones too so – voila – our color palette was created based on the season we love most – Fall. A few other goodies that we love – cupcakes, salt, pretty flowers, mixing design styles, mixing textures, color and, of course a little Veuve.  We are looking at a historic venue but we are definitely not formal so we’ll be adding in some of our rustic chic style on a budget. I see a lot of small space DIYs in my future. I put together this digital snapshot to share a few ideas that I am thinking of for our wedding weekend. More to come… :)

Wow – I can’t believe I am off on my summer adventure in just a few weeks. I am so excited to travel and have been planning this trip for a year. I have started making a few lists to get everything in order and hope to pack some of these dream trip goodies in my suitcase.

If you read loving. loving. small. then you know I always talk about making your house a home – a place where *you* feel great and comfortable. Like my own small space, I will be bringing a few items with me to create a space in my hotel rooms that is personal to me – like a small tumbler that can act as a vase, a beautiful candle, travel speakers to play awesome music in my room when relaxing and a dream file item, a cashmere throw. 

I’ll be snapping photos and blogging as I go – I can’t wait to take in the architecture, sights, culture and style of these amazing cities. Yes!
